22 oz. bottle shared by Adam. 2017 vintage.Aroma is mild oak, vanilla, honey. The flavor is much the same. Smooth for the age. Not a lot of oxidation. Held up really really well!

Snallygaster 2017. So dull and not very barreed either. Its the most basic barely aged barleywine. Some astringency. Just unfermented malts. 636311

Lots of barrel and whiskey like you snuck into an Irish bar's cellar. Pours orange with good head and lacing. Finishes bittersweet. Ok but a lot of booze. Tap at Snally.

Sample at Old Skool during the BA Great Lakes Tap Takeover on 05/18/2017. The beer is a dark amber color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roast malt, bourbon and hops. Full-bodied with flavors of oaky bourbon, caramel malt, fruit and a bit of earthy hops. The finish is oaky with a bourbon and malt aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

A fine beer but I had hoped for something more spectacular. +++ Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy apricot color with a huge foamy-soapy orange-white head that lingered forever and left great lacing. The aroma was wood, bourbon, coconut, honey, yeast and pineapple. The flavor was bourbon, coconut, pine, grapefruit, pineapple and yeast. Long finish. Moderately full bodied.
