750 c&c from Trader Joe’s in Davis, CA. Pours deep rosé with a creamy pale pink head. Aroma is very raspberry with some tart/sour aspects. Med + body. Flavor is raspberry, tho not so much as the aroma suggested to me. The tart/sour is rather moderate. I think the Calvados is detectable, and the wood, tho perhaps a bit musty, comes through. Quite dry to me, tho I can see that some would find the fruit sweet. Good stuff.

750ml bottle, picked up from my local Trader Joe’s. This one poured a ruby copper color, mostly clear with a little haze and a huge off-white, light pink head that dissipated relatively quickly to a manageable size. Aroma was pretty tart - lots of sour vinegar notes alongside raspberry. Oak and woody notes come through here. Flavor was much more subtle - as the other people who shared the bottle can attest to. Flavor was light tart raspberries. Sweetness remains a bit, making it a pretty pleasant beer. Not overly complex, but pretty tasty at a great price point.
