In honor of Ol’Big Lizz, we decided to brew up a beer made with locally harvested butternut squash from Emily’s Produce. We roasted it, then added a mix of toasted malts along with nutmeg, clove and cinnamon to give you a subtly spiced and balanced spin on a “Pumpkin” style ale.

I went in blind and at first sip I was like, ehhhhhhh. Lots of clove, thought it was a spice beer of some sort. Checked RB, it was indeed a s/h/v. Couldn’t tell it’s a pumpkin but plenty of clove. Some light sweetness from squash. Amber-brown color. Clove beer not good beer for me.
