Clear grennish colour with no head.Aroma is sourish of citrus and lime,feels refreshing but also thin and watery.

Bottle. Yellow colour with a white head. Aroma is citrus, lime, malt. Flavour is sweet, citrus, lime, malt, sourness. Boring beer.

Bottled (Belgian rating #1000). Hazy yellow colour, mediumsized fluffy and foamy head. Aroma is wheat, lemon, quite sour/acidic. Flavour is very much the same. Nice sour lemon aftertaste. Better than I expected.

Bottled. Hazy pale yellow, minimal head. Aroma of coriander and lemon. Sweet and soapy, light bodied. Sticky artificial lemon flavour. Very simple at not the slightest refreshing.

Belgian label calls is Citron, singular White head, gone in seconds over very pale yellow-lime coloured beer; highly visible carbonation. Nose of dishwashing liquid with lemon addition, Fanta agrumes or suchlike stuff. Again a lemon/lime pops flavour, with an extra sticky, musty, slightly spicy flavouring. For the rest, kids’ drink. Fizzy, aggressive MF. One positive note. It’s definitely unfiltered. Though I wonder what kind of beasties survive in this liquid popsicle.

(33cl bottle) Hazy, yellow colour with a mid-sized foamy white head. Dusty, sweet citrus-fruity nose with an unpleasant artificial and soapy touch. Sweet, slightly sourish flavour, light bodied with a lively carbonation. Strong citrus-fruity taste with faint Witbier-character; slightly sweet, artificially fruity and minimal tart finish. Yuck! (28.03.08).

250 ml bottle. Oh my God, what have they done here? OK, wheat beer with a piece of lime or lemon could be refreshing a warm summer day, so why not make it as a package? Well, something else has also happened with the classic Hoegaarden, the alcohol is reduced to 3%. What do we end up with then? It doesn’t even look like the real stuff. It’s a pale watery body with disappearing unhealthy white head. The aroma is fruity, yeast and lemon/grapefruit. Aroma is actually the best part of this beer, what do you expect from hoegaarden with lime? Flavor is sticky sweet with citric acid in a watery and totally unbalanced body. This is not wheat beer and not lemon juice; it’s just not any good. Down the drain!

Bottle: Poured a hazy floaty yellowish white with a white head. The aroma is citrus mostly grapefruit. Sweet sugary almost grapefruit lemonade.

Really pale, hazy. Artificial pink grapefruit aroma with coriander and soap. Very soapy taste. Artificial limey accents. Thin body. Rather candyish. You wouldn’t really peg this as being derived from a witbier. Terrible. Thanks, Tim, you shouldn’t have.
