Bottle - Peppery and nice funk. Cloudy gold with a bright white large head. Peeper, stone fruit and very effervescent. Bright flavors and nice.

Advertized as a "bière de garde de grande classe", commissioned by a local beer shop. Another weird spice ale from Fantôme, with off-white, stable head and murky ochre blonde colour with lots of sediment at the bottom. Aroma of pineapple, yeast, earth, lemon peel, white pepper, melon, vanilla. Very fruity taste (melon, peach), vanilla touch, dry yeastiness on a caramel malt base, straw-like, leafy hops in the finish, ending dry and complex. Not my favorite as far as Fantôme is concerned, though I am a fan of this brewery.

750mL bottle, pours a cloudy orange with a huge white head. Aroma brings out spicy Belgian yeast, caramel and bready malt. Flavour is quite spicy, with lots of Belgian yeast, alcohol, caramel and bready malt. Quite complex, and the ABV is hidden quite well. An unusual beer for Fantome. Very good stuff.

Bottle: Poured a dirty hazy amber color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of rustic Belgian malt base with some herbal notes clearly identifiable. Taste is also dominated by rustic malt base with some unique herbal notes with light peppery yeast notes. Body is full with limited filtration and great carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Another superb creation from Fantome.

Bottle. 2011. Pours orange gold with white head. Nose and taste of dried orange peel, bready malt, orange sherbert, mild spice, earth, bubblegum and light clove. Medium body. Dry finish. Interesting.
