This is an amber ale with a persistent, light hazelnut colored head. Fruity and warm scents immediately invade the nose, harmoniously blending with the delicate herbaceous and citrusy notes of the hops. We find them again in the taste, along with the hints of cereals that are perceived with the very first sip. As the first sensations fade, a pleasant and very subtle peppery note emerges.

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of joergen. Pours a cloudy, opaque golden with a small, beige head. Sweet caramellish aroma, a little greasy hops as well. Rich body, a sweet fruitiness, subtle yeast and spices. Some late alcohol. 250313

Flaska från Systembolaget. Bärnstensfärgad vötska med högt livligt skum. Jäst är det första som möter näsan. Därefter något unket. Efter viss uppvärmning framträder en ton av humle. Neutral i smak med en liten ton av metall. Kort eftersmak.

Bottle from A Tutta Birra, Milan; bb Jan 2014, L196/110
Amber color with red copper hue, hazy; well carbonated, with medium sized creamy head. Mild aroma, some spicy yeast (less than true Belgians), very light fruitiness (apricot jam). The body is thinner than expected; it’s well carbonated, so the mouthfeel is smooth; it has a light flavor of malt and reminds the beers brewed with honey (no honey flavor, just the thinner mouthfeel), and light macadamia nuts; the bitterness is relatively low (with surprise considering the name), and in the final it has a light metallic aftertaste.
A good beer, quite Belgian, delicate and easy to drink.

Hazy brown amber colour, beige head. Sweet aroma, caramel, bubblegum, light hops, somewhat chemical, banana. Sweet flavour, sawdust, caramel, candy, sweets and butterscotch. Finish mostly butterscotch.
Bit of a disappointment really, this beer is just a shadow compared to my previous experiences with this brewery.

Thanks to Sebletitje for sharing this one. 75 cl. typical Baladin bottle sampled @ RBBWG 2013. Quite hazy orange with a white head. Uli’s comment about this beer was – “I have never had a beer like this, the nose is beautiful and wonderful hops but in the taste there is nothing, very disappointing” or something to that effect, lovely Arome is indeed somewhat hoppy, softer, fruitier hops blended with Balandin’s white chocolate tad yoghurt BE yeast string, sweet,… Taste is dominated by the their previously mentioned BE yeast string, sweet, malty, white chocolate, quite youghurty, sweet herbs, some floral notes, ripe fruits and caramel. Hazy, yeasty body. This is like one of their Belgians, not very supa bitha, I don’t get it. It is an okay Belgian from Italy.

75cl bottle sample @ RBBWG 2013. BB 01/2014.

Sampled from bottle @ RBBWG 2013. Hazy orange color, medium sized off-white to beige head. Smell malts, sweetness, slightly some hoppy notes. Taste malts, some overripe fruits, sweetness. Why is this called super bitter? Low to medium body and carbonation.

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Hazy oranmage colour, lively head. Fruity nose with a wealth of hay and notes of grapefruit. Sweetish with medium-full body and soft mouthfeel. Mellow with marzipan, ripe fruits and hay. Long bitter finish. Laid back, yet full of flavours.
