At Carlsberg, the pursuit of better beer is in our DNA. More than 100 years after our founder J.C. Jacobsen mastered the art of brewing great Pilsner, we're still looking for ways to improve our beer. Our perfectly balanced Danish Pilsner is wonderfully crisp and refreshing, with a full flavour and a distinctive hoppy aroma. Skål!

Bottle sample at a tasting at Max's place. Clear golden. Grainy, corny, skunky, sweetish, mildly bitter finish, light-bodied.
Earlier Rating: 8/29/2014 Total Score: 1.9
Draught sample at Silber Deli Bar. Thanks Haim. 5% version brewed at Israel Beer Breweries. Clear yellow with almost no head. Aroma of graininess, some cooked corn and a hint of hay. Sweetish grainy flavor with a bit of corn, a bready hint and a slightly bitterish finish with a metallic hint and a grassy hint. Light-bodied. Pretty non-offensive (though I had some draught and bottle samples of this beer that were quite disgusting).

11.2 oz. green bottle purchased at Total Wine - Melbourne, FL. Pours a crystal clear gold color with a white head and decent retention. Spots of lacing. Euro skunk aroma. Thankfully it doesn't taste as skunky as the nose. Standard Euro soft pilsner malt flavor and a little bread. Almost no bitterness. Clean and smooth. More like a lager that a pilsner. Very serviceable.
