In celebration of the fall harvest. Here's an autumn favorite that's as enjoyable as pumpkin pie. This hearty ale is brewed with cinnamon, allspice, cloves and vanilla. Look for a full body and amber color. We're sure you'll enjoy this special brew.

Location: I'm updating this rating with a 12 oz bottle, I don't remember where I got it from, but I've had it for a few months, 2/1/10
Aroma: Lots of pumpkin spice, some caramel, some cinnamon, yeast, and some other spice
Appearance: Hazy orange-amber color with a fluffy white head and a good amount of lace
Flavor: This one is dominated by the spicy malt flavors, a minimal hop bitterness is present
Palate: This beer is medium bodied and fairly smooth, with less carbonation then I would have expected
Overall Impression: Overall, I don't think I previously gave this one the respect it deserved. Maybe I've just become more of a fan of pumpkin spice over time, but I like this one a good amount more then the last time that I rated it.
Overall Impression: Solid pumpkin beer, drinkable, hardly special, but certainly decent. (Old rating: 6/3/5/3/12 - 2.9)

Bottled (Kiitos Reksa!). Amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is pumpkin, some spruce and fruits and that’s about it. Flavour is quite much the same along with a strange sweetness. Quite much spices also. Good and pleasant pumpkin beer, though it is quite sweet.

Bottled. Clear amber color, small white head. Sweet fruity, pumpkin aroma. Sweet pumpkin and rye flavor. Some honey too. A bit flat mouthfeel. It has pumpkin, it’s sweet, it’s for halloween ... ok.

Suprisingly nice amber coloured body with a copper tint and a nice tan head. Aroma of pumpkin pie spice, a nice amount of malt, sweet sugars and caramel and a good fruity twang - very nice indeed! Light-bodied; Very weak taste of malt and some of the aromas...but nothing compared to what is picked up in the nose. Aftertaste shows a bit of the sugars with a little bit more of the spices...but really nothing good at all. Overall, this one isn’t surprising - A bad beer. period. This one looked good and smelled even better, but the taste and aftertaste just isn’t there...and that isn’t surprising for a Sary beer. Don’t buy this one unless you’d like to be dissapointed or to make fun of another beer. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Oliver’s Beverage in Albany, New York on 11-October-2006.

Typical pumpkin ale that smells and tastes pretty much like pumpkin pie. Spices, etc. Pretty standard fare, but a safe bet among the non-beer drinker.

Pours amber, off white. Aroma, spicy, failry weak. Taste, sweet, hoppy / metalic aftertaste. Beer is just not well balanced, not much pumpkin going on here and just too much of other spices.

12oz bottle. Filtered, clear amber, brownish-orange color. Pumpkin pie spices all over this one. More spicy and bitter than a real deep pumpkin flavor. Nonetheless a pretty good Pumpkin beer, with a crisp, hoppy mouthfeel up front which fades into maltly sweet, and a real lingering spice flavor. Ok, but not a top-notch pumpkin beer by any means.

12 oz. bottle from Whole Foods Charlottesville, Reddish amber pour with a medium head. Low retention. The spices come through strongly in the aroma, but not much else. Taste is the spices, vanilla. Terrible balance and very watery.

This beer pours a deep brownish-amber color with a medium thin and creamy off-white head that dissipates steadily. Stringy lacing. The aroma is mildly malty with hints of allspice and cinnamon. Medium-bodied and smooth with a bland concoction of spice and malt flavors. The finish is earthy malt with a mild lingering spice aftertaste. Pumpkin beers are hit or miss in my experience and this is definitely a miss.

Bottle. Pour is a ruddy brown color with a pretty nice beige head that sadly is short-lived. Aromas are pie spices and some strange and rotting vegetation. Flavor is about the same. Can’t pick out the pumpkin very well, but the rest of th pie spicing is there as is a strange mix of earthy leaf-litter and some sweetness from the malt. Strange pumpkin ale... strange.
