BrewDog's flagship Punk IPA... how it used to be. Re-brewed for BrewDog's 10th anniversary and Equity Punks AGM 2017.

This is the original spiky, hoppy, tropical IPA that carried the company on its shoulders to the heights of today.

light golden pour, with a good amount of lacing with a nice head. Aroma of citrus, and slightly skunky hops, with some pungent resins. THe flavor is bright, and citrucy, and juicy. The finish, is juicy, and hoppy, with more resins. nice stuff.

Bottle 0,33ltr: Hazy yellow American-like bitter tasting beer, i think this more bitter than an common British I.P.A.

Geprobeerd met LiekevdV. Het is een helder goudgeel bier met een volle witte schuimkraag. Het heeft een hoppige en fruitige geur. De smaak is fruitig, hoppig en wat bitter.

3rd LCRBM. This beer smells like a big manure heap on a barnyard somewhere in rural Franconia. It almost distracts from the indeed quite hoppy, flowery flavor with citrus and peanut butter. Dirty mouthfeel, still a decent beer. (5 3 7 3 12) Bottle @ home Blonde. melon and citrus in the aroma. Firm citric hopbitter flavor, slightly oily with melon and pineapple. Somewaht oily and oily hopbitter finish. Good!

geel met oranje glans, minimale witte kraag aroma: lekkere frisse ipa hoppigheid, citrus, grapefruit, frisse dennennaalden, gras smaken:redelijk zoet, redelijk bitter, dennennaalden, citrus, mooi hoppig, fruit, smaken zijn goed gebalanceerd. matig tot redelijke body, nagenoeg hetzelfde als de 'nieuwe'

Aroma 6/10. Appearance 4/5. Taste 7/10. Palate 3/5. Overall 14/20. Comments: 330ml bottle from Brewdog online. Orangey gold amber colour with a foamy white head leaving lacing and aroma of malt, grainy, biscuit, hop, slightly metallic. Flavour is malty, grain, with some fruity earthy hop bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation and tangy bitter finish. Quite drinkable.

Tried in a bottle from BrewDog online. Blind tasted against the new version. Slightly hazy golden colour with s white head. Citrus and tropical aroma and taste. Medium to full body. Slightly more fruit in the aroma and bitterness in the finish, than the original.
