Préaris Quadrupel

This complex dark tasting beer was chosen in April 2011 as the best hobby beer in Belgium in “De Brouwland Biercompetitie”. A jury with among others professional brewers from Orval and Dubuisson tasted the 7 finalists (there were about 100 entries in total). This is what Paul Arnott, master brewer at the Dubuisson brewery, said: “What a maturity for a hobby beer: a full mouth, rich but balanced, small fruit touch, very mature. A beer to taste!” Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, dark fruit. The taste is malty and slightly bitter (roasted and chocolate malt), dark fruit, vanilla, caramel. The aftertaste is malty and slightly bitter.
