Teppisten-bier is a complex belgian quadrupel with a syrupy body and notes of dark fruits, hazelnut, sweet chocolate and spices. The name is a joke from italian word "teppista" (hooligan).

Bottle at home. Aroma is malt, caramel, lots of candy sugar, toffee, nuts, yeast, raisins, slight spicy notes, dark bread. Flavour is massive cloying sweetness. Body is medium. Ouch, such massive sweetness, at a few points it was like drinking pure brown sugar. Too much for my taste.

11.2 oz bottle obtained late last year, bb date of 10/10/28. I'm ahead of that considerably. The brewer is one of my bests, pleased to have this one. A snifter presents itself, I oblige. Mahogany brown with a tall top of light tan bubbles. I love the smell, ripe dark fruit, yeast and field. And the taste, oh my, might fine. Figgy, sweet dark plums, grain, malt, cherries and cake. Sweetness with a bit of bitterness ending, nice. How does White Pony do it so consistently with so many quads?

Bottle from Firefly, Vancouver
Brown color, small head. Sweet, with good malt and caramel flavor depth, toasted nuts, bold, full bodied, and hiding the alcohol very well; elegant fruity esters.
Excellent.

Bottle, Firefly. Medium brown and flat-looking. Lots of fruit - raisin, plum and apple, a thwack of alcohol, and hinting at some acidity. Sweet. Fruity - pear, apple and raisin. Very low carbo. Sugary but with just a touch of acidity that, along with the alcohol, provides much-needed balance.

330ml bottle. Pours a murky ruby with a medium, creamy, long lasting, beige head that laces. Sweet aroma of bready malt, caramel, raisins, figs, plums and spice. Sweet flavour of caramel malt, chocolate, brown sugar, raisins, dates, figs, spice and a hint of hazelnut with a dry, slightly boozy finish. Medium body with a smooth, oily texture and soft carbonation. A tasty Quad. The high ABV is well hidden.
