Well what can i say. Its a Pils. Nothing too exciting here, just a well made good solid pils. that pretty much sums it up.

Kulminator, Antwerp. jbrus and skortila allowed me a sip from their glass. Vinous aroma and flavor. Grapes. Thin. Probably past its peak.

341 ml. old-time medicine bottle dating back from at least the late 90’s / probably earlier @ Kulminator: hazy yellow / golden with a small white head / smell is very oxidized & yeasty / taste is bitter yeast, flowers, strongly floral, touch spices, grains, slightly fruity, strongly oxidized / firm to heavy carb. dash too much maybe ? far from best shape at this moment clearly but manageable still

Originally rated August 2005 (when it was still Sleeman who owned Unibroue). This brew is based on 1950’s old style lagers. It pours a golden-beige colour with a small head. Retention is lame and lacing is minimal. Slight ring of foam around the collar. Grainy malt nose, but very mild. The taste is challenged between cereal malt, caramel malt and some good hop flavour. It use to come in stubbies before, but now it comes in normal Molson brown bottles. I think the brew has changed since then, as I remember prefering the old stuff in the little bottles. Still a decent lager with bite, and good to see Unibroue not commercializing this one.

Bottled. Golden colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is grass, yeast and some hops. Flavour is fruity, raisiny, quite yeasty and also quite big on the herbs. Leaves quite earthy notes in the aftertaste.

(Bottle 34,1 cl) Clear pilsener golden with a creamy, white head. Malty nose. Medium body, malty with a sweetish, caramelish edge. No bitterness. Drinkable but not very exciting. 170406

2004 bottle from Depanneur Rahman. Drank this a while ago and I swear I rated it, but I guess not. . .Pours a light apricot-yellow, slight gold tinges, clear with a moderate amount of foamy white head, mostly dissipating to a ring. Smells rather dry, with lots of powdery/dusty yeast, some wet hay and corn. Perhaps the bottle sat on the shelf too long. Flavor, though, was not off, as far as I could tell. A lightly crisp, mildly grassy honey and husky grain flavor, with some oat-like flavors and a very smooth, almost slippery/oily body. Bit of thinning on the end. Dry, earthy grains are dominant. Light body, low malt sweetness, more hay, corn, vanilla on the finish.
