1985. Korkowa piwnica dominuje na maksa. Smierdzi. Ale w uscie duzo lepiej, acz tak jakos jak z lakierem do paznokci kapke? Miod. Jakies rodzynki? Nie, nie jest to przyjemnosc. Ale coz, bez ocenki

Draught at Arrogant Sour 2019.
Deep ruby body, with almost no head.
Aroma of sweet, juicy cherries, some apples, some wood, subtle funk.
Tastes similar, a bit more simple.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with a low carbonation. Finishes sweet, dry, moderate sour, with cherries, some apples, subtle funk.

Nice one. Pretty simple, while good to drink, with juicy cherries. Nothing special, just solid. Score: 7 / 4 / 6 / 3 / 14

Wrong brewery. This is Tuur de troch. Reddish brown: old cherry, funky old lemon and old wood. 4.4

Bottle - 1950s Schepdaal - Pours reddish with slight hint of peach. Light white head ring - Nose/taste of smooth cherry vinegar, dark earthy cherry, old slightly rotted wood and sherry funk - medium body. Glorious.

1986 vintage 375 bottle, a gift from the cellar of Joris Pattyn. Opened with a hiss and bubbles as well, though they quickly vanished. Brown-orange color, oily. Nose of cherry, acid, vinegar, lactic notes, some old cork. Oxidized flavor, cherries, yogurt, vinegar, wood, some leather and funk but not a lot, and some sherry-like notes. Slightly smoky too. Still decidedly sweet, though in a pleasant way, not cloying or syrupy. Oily body, and still lightly bubbly. Very drinkable, sour but not overwhelming, tangy, tingly, nice cherries. A very interesting experience, and quite likeable.

Bottle isn’t completely full anymore, some has evaporated, so I’m a bit hesitating to open it, but people reasured me it will be fine. The cork crumbles when opening though, so first it has to be decanted. It pours a hazy red brown colour, no real head. Rather old aroma, madeira, raisins, light cherry, hint of vinegar, quite funky. Sour flavour, cherry, acetic acid, ethyl acetate, some sweetness. Light carbonation, sour finish, yoghurt, mild fruity vinegar and cherry. Quite intense, it’s a nice experience.
(From 75cL bottle shared @ RBBSG II, Gent 2013. Turned up in cellar cleaning I was allowed to pick the interesting bottles from)

Courtesy of Tinus. Thx! 75 cl. bottle sampled @ RBBSG II. I have been on the lookout for this one forever. Very old bottle dating back to before 1993 but no definitive age is known. Cork completely crumbled & the bottle was decanted. Pours a very murky muddy red but a far paler shade than desired with no head or signs of carbonation. Nose is quite acidic, vinegary, tart, mixed in with some mould, dust and old very soured kriek. Taste is tart vinegar kriek, old rotting wood, quite heavy on the sourness, lemon, rotting fruit skins, wild berries, touch mould and ditch water. Flat and bit thinned, touch watery. Not the greatest ever but very good, lovely & above all a lot of fun to drink. Happy to finally get this one.

Sampled from incredibly old bottle @ RBBSG II. Well, is this still drinkable? Not sure... No head, murky muddy reddish color. Aroma is sour with some fruits. Taste answers my question: absolutely undrinkable. Incredibly sour, so sharp sour, absolutely way too much for me.

10/VIII/13 - 75cl bottle @ RBBSG II, my place - BB: n/a - probably an 80ies vintage (2013-748) Thanks to Tinus for sharing the bottle!

Little cloudy murky brown beige beer, no head. Aroma: pretty old, dusty, some orange peel, port, caramel, pretty oxidized. MF: no carbon, medium to full body. Taste: pretty sour start, citric acidity is really burning the throat, then some oxidized port flavours, sherry, bit of vinegar, really acidic. Aftertaste: very sour, port, dusty, orange peel. While it's still very sour and interesting, it's way past it's time.
