From a 0.75l bottle @ Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2013. This is a near clear dark brown one with a not so good looking beige islandy top. The nose is light acidic and sweet. Some red sour berries, licorice and dark malts. Somehow I'm really liking this aroma. Great drinkability. Lovely flavors, light acidic with both dry licorice, red wine barred notes and some chocolate paper. Acidic and lasting finish here. It's not sour, but woody acidic with a strong sweetness that's balancing it. 03.05.2013

Dark brown colour, beige head. Aroma of caramel, dried fruits, raisins, light mocha and yeasty banana. Quite sweet. Sweet flavour, caramel, light sour touch. Raisins and some desert wine notes. Finish sweet, raisins, fruits, cacao powder and a hint of bitterness.

Sampled from bottle @ RBBSG II. Very dark brown color, small beige head. Smell malts, caramel, a touch of sweetness, dark fruits, raisins. Taste malts, caramel, dark fruits, raisins, slightly sweet due to the fruits and maybe a touch of alcohol. Medium body and carbonation.

75cl bottle, courtesy of ibrew2or3.

Courtesy of Sebletitje. Thx! 75 cl. bottle sampled @ RBBSG II. Very dark blackish brown with a thick tanned head. Nose is sweet mocha, slightly vinous, sweet chocolate, coffee and German chocolate pie. Taste is sweet chocolate, light booze, warming, roast, chocolate pie, dark fruits, sweet coffee and liquorish,… Body is a bit cocoa power style. Very delicious but Scotch Ale as the style???

750ml bottle @ CBC 2013
Pours dark brown with a foamy brown head. Aroma of sweet syrup, some wood, oak and herbal notes. Taste is malty, tart with notes of ripe fruits, some syrup and wood. Finish is warming and malty. Okay, quite tart scotch ale.
