Cask at Steel City Beer Festival 2014 at Kelham Island - Rich deep brown body, off white - grey to beige - thick head. Nose is lots of chocolate, toast, roasted coffee beans. Taste is helped by a nice oily mouthfeel, very black coffee bitter, can feel the booze warmth as well. Medium finish. Very nice.

Cask @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. Very dark brown with a creamy off-white head. Smooth textured with lovely milky-smooth roasted malts in both its aroma and taste accounting for this.

Cask. 40th Steel City Beer Festival, Sheffield. Evidently out of retirement. Clear, dark brown. Bubbly, tan head. Dark chocolate. Some liquorice. Sweet, dark berry fruits. Taste is dry, and light bitter. Smooth, chewy palate. Super drinkable. Liked this one.

Bottle in the Alchemy series, yellow label with hand written ’Murmansk’ and ’7,4’ ABV
Pitch black beer, fluffy tan head. The very last out of the bottle has some weird floaties. Aroma of coffee, light brett, minerals, ash, mocha, caramel, light dried sour cherries. Coffee bitter flavour, coffee, roasted malts and dark chocolate. Silky texture, really soft and creamy. Firm hoppy finish, burned malts and coffee. Nice!

50 cl. bottle purchased @ Alvinne: label bears the Alchemy etiquette with Murmansk & 7.4 (besides ABV) written with a pen, appearance is usual black with mocha head, smell is mocha, cocoa, coffee, touch sweet & sour, taste is creamy milk chocolate, cocoa, coffee, going into a bitter chocolate truffle, slightly vinous coffee, touch sour red berries, slightly bitter roasted coffee & bitter hop finish, body is creamy but a very nice smoothness to it, highly drinkable, great beer, glad it wasn’t a 33 cl. bottle
