Keg at the Beer Hall, Staveley. Dark gold, hazy with a lot of visible carbonation. Light and slightly tart aroma of gooseberry, lime juice, a touch of candied citrus. Taste is on the bitter side, with slightly musty hops in the long finish. Uncompromisingly bitter, but never acrid, aftertaste. Packs a punch, and certainly enjoyable, but not one of my favourites from Hawkshead.

330ml bottle. Hazy golden pour with a small off-white head. Aroma is hoppy, tropical fruit, passionfruit, apricot, citrus. Taste is similarly fruity with a nice sweetish malty backbone reminiscent of a good bitter, tropical fruit hops adding some bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, relatively low bitterness for the style and very easy drinking.

330ml bottle. Milky, orangey golden colour with average, thick, fluffy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Citrusy and tropical fruity, hoppy aroma, notes of passion fruit, mango, grapefruit, orange, orange zest, marmalade, hints of peach and apricot. Taste is citrusy and tropical fruity hoppy, slightly piny, moderately bitter, slightly sweet, biscuity malty basis, (in comparison to the aroma) minimally diluted notes of passion fruit, mango, orange, grapefruit, some marmalade, hints of peach and apricot, minimally grassy, waxy and chalky overtones; soft palate, gentle carbonation. Wonderful.
