Vageblond tripel is een goudgele tripel van 8 vol%, met een uitgesproken smaak en een licht fruitig aroma. Dit wordt bekomen door zijn typische gist, maar vooral door het gebruik van een specifieke aromahop. Deze geeft aroma’s van kruisbes, grapefruit en toetsen van Sauvignon Blanc. De hergisting in fles zorgt voor een smaakevolutie tot enige jaren na het brouwen. Het ontstane bezinksel kan zonder bezwaar worden genuttigd. Vageblond is daarmee het eerste en enige echt Merksplasse bier.

Bottle shared at the RBESG 2014, grand tasting 10/08/2014 Craft Beer Co Clerkenwell.  Clouded orange / yellow coloured pour a half of off white head. Aroma is medium, caramel honey and earthy and some wheaty grains. Flavour is composed of full semi sweet grains. Palate is sticky sweet, grainy on the tongue. Lingering firm grassy bitterness.

Bottle @ RBESG 2014 Sunday Tasting. Pours a hazy yellow color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty spicy yeasty aroma. Fruity malty spicy yeasty flavor. Has a fruity malty spicy yeasty finish.

Appearance: Hazy golden colour with a white head.
Aroma: Fruit, citrus, spices, malt.
Body: Medium body and carbonation.
Flavour: Citrus, yeast, tropical fruit.

Bottle@Craft Clerkenwell (RBESG 10/08/2014) - golden colour with white head. Aroma and taste holds some citrus lemon, sweet malty and yeasty, some herbal spice in the finish.

RBESG pt 19. Craft Clerkenwell. Grandish Tasting. Cloudy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and dry. Floral sweet malt, touch of spice. Little generic fruits. Light dry finish. Touch of German Pils style nuttyness. Light dry finish. Okay.

Bottle (2005) at RBESG ’14, day 4 not so grand tasting at Craft Clerko, 10/08/14. Hazed golden orange with moderate off white spotting and edgework. Nose is light plastic, bitter fruit, citric leanings, spice, yeast esters, hint of apricot. Taste comprises no plastic notes, tangy apricot, citric peel, yeasty notes, light bread vibes, Medium bodied, fine to spritzy carbonation, semi drying clsoe. Average - a little too much soap on the nose.

Bottle - Lemon, banana, fruit esters and coriander. Cloudy yellow with a decent white head. Banana, citrus and peppery and coriander.

Bottle. Frothy White good mostly deminishiing head. Yellow colour. Moderate malty and hoppy aroma. Average moderate bitter finish. oily palate. Dry.

Bottle shared with Dutchdrebus and Ansjelaah. Hazy orange color, small off - white head. Smell and taste malts, some herbs, some sweetness. Hmm average in every aspect.
