Gott.

Keg at Moeder Lambic St Giles, 20/11/15. Orange amber with a decent beige covering. Nose is sticky toffee, candied fruit peel, bubblegum, light spice. Taste comprises light soap, sweet licks, caramel, toasted brown sugar, figgy pudding. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with warming alcohol well evident. Ok for style, soapy edge a touch off putting tthough.

Draught@Moeder Lambic, Brussels. Golden colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is fruity, floral, wooden and some mild toffeeish and alcoholic notes. Flavour is very similar, and also has some nice citrusy and slightly yeasty notes.

Bottle 330ml (Saveur)
Hazy amber color, medium-sized off-white head. Aroma has tangerine peels, hay and yeast. Medium-bodied. Flavor is similar to aroma: citrus peels, hay, yeast and very oily palate. Finish has strong warming alcohol. Interesting strong tripel, ok.

Bottle from Supervalu, Longford [160515]
Orange, hazy, thin white head
Aroma of sweet fruits, sweet malts, candi sugar, bit tangy, soft alcohol, rather malty
Taste of sweet caramel malts, some jammy pale fruits, sweet syrup, tangy, fruits are a bit odd, soft yeast, quite malty, some tangy orange
Palate - Soft carb, medium to full body, rather too sweet, alcohol. Finish of sweet malts with some soft bitter hops. Unbalanced.
Overall - Not a great tripel. Didn’t finish the bottle. 28 is 2.8 then

(Bottle, 0.33 - no BBE info, as Caulier Tripel, from Alko Arkadia, 20150501) The beer poured pale golden and clear. Its head was medium sized, fizzy and white. Aroma had swetness, grass and milldly honey. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were sweetness, grass, honey, malts, frutiness and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet and bitter. A thin and characterless brew.
