Panda at home, thanks to Kenneth, 09/08/2026.
Extremely dark mahogany brown topped with a beige cap that veers to the edge.
Nose is dusty fruit, oxidised notes, dates, tobacco, light booze.
Taste comprises tangy fruits, dates, vinous, a touch harsh, tobacco, figs.
Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, drying close with a light ripple of booze.
So so .. a touch harsh and clumsy.

Bottled in 2020. Classic BW! Lots of sweet malted barley, bit of hops, perfectly balanced bourbon barrel presence. First Struise in my new glass. Film: Mank

330mL bottle, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma is full of deep dark fruits — lots of prunes, dates — and sherry-like oxidation; no notice of the bourbon. Flavour is strange, with sherry-like oxidation, some tart red fruits, plenty of bitterness, no bourbon. Man, this just falls totally flat — bitter, tart, fruity; not complex and not well-rounded. Disappointing.

Bottle. Color: Clear dark copper, thin beige head. Aroma: Raisins, caramel, vinuous, Bourbon. Taste: Raisins, caramel malt, some orange, Bourbon notes. Base beer and barrel are well balanced. Over moderate sweet. Medium body, low carbonation. Some bitterness at dry-ish finish.

A dark brown beer, a head is small and beige. Aroma has strong maltyness, caramel, grapes, some dried fruits and light barrel. Taste has grapes, barrel, light bourbon. Medium+ bodied. Too simple, and also I would have hoped more intensitivity.

33 cl bottle @ home. Batch 20200006, BBE 12.02.2025. Aroma has sweet malt, some alcohol and mild orange tones. Flavour has alcohol, sweet malt, berries and some grapefruity notes. Okayish BW, alcohol is too sharp though and the berry notes are not that nice.
