Weisse Versa is unfiltered and has the refreshing characteristics you’d come to expect in a wheat beer, but the combination of the citrus peel and coriander added during the brewing process and the natural clove, nutmeg and banana aromas produced by our special, Bavarian wheat beer yeast result in a beer that’s unlike any you’ve ever had. With Weisse Versa you get the flavors you love in a German Hefe AND in a Belgian White beer. Both. At the same time.

Can at BTBF. Pours with a hazed golden hued body with a medium sized white head with some retention. Aromas are of isoamyl acetate, malty/bread, 4vg clove phenols, medium citrus and some other spice that I cannot place that seems strange in what I thought was a hefe. Flavors are grainy, bready wheat. Malt forward and a bit heavy. Strong phenolic 4VG clove and coriander. Lively carbonation, off-dry.

33 cl. can sampled thx. to Kraddel. Hazy bright orange with a head on the sides. Smell is lots of wheat, typical hefe, quite a bit of heffe banana, light orange peel maybe, sweet spices, coriander touch, quite herbal with plenty of esters and light bubblegum. Taste is typical sweet hefe wheat, hefe banana, almost buttery quinoa but not in a bad way, spices, almost herbal bitter, lots of esters, cloves, coriander, light bubblegum. Creamier wheat porridge body. Not getting much witbeer profile out of this, for me this is just a pretty good hefe.

On tap at Flying Saucer. Pours a cloudy orange with a small off white head. The aroma is a pepper clove and citrus. Medium mouthfeel with a dry clove and lemon zest and a light dry finish. A good Wheat from Karbach.

On tap at Flying Saucer Houston. Pours a cloudy gold with a white head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma is full banana with a good amount of clove and just a hint of nutmeg and flora. Flavor is sweet with banana and clove. Backed by sweet wheat and a bit of nutmeg. Very flavorful.
