On tap @ Mikkeller Bar. This is a heavy cloudy lovely looking almost signal-yellow with a incredible bright dense and white snowy top. Looks like a million bucks. The aroma is almost as fantastic as the appearance. Lots if super fresh hoppy aromas here, saison citrus to the gold medal! Really tropical and as fresh and delicious as they come. It's above average, almost sparkling on the carbonation with a really cloudy and almost fluffy mouthfeel. Lovely fresh flavors, tons of grassy hops. Loaded with citrus and tropical fruits. So refreshing that it's hard to stop drinking. Ends with lots of citrus, grapefruit and mango. A lovely lovely thing! Not a long way from the perfect beer imo. 05.05.2013

Hazy yellow colour, white head. Aroma of hops, quite fruity, touch of brett. Hoppy flavour, malts, quite sweet, funk and brett. Finish hops, brett, quite tart.
Rating of Batch 3. Parallel with batch 2, which was less refined and had some urine notes.
(From 75cL bottle @ RBESG 2013 Grand Tasting, Bodegraven. Thanks for sharing, DutchDrebus & jmgreenuk!)

Sampled @ RBESG 13 Grand Tasting. Batch 2: Hazy pale yellow colour with a medium sized white head. Smells car tire, dusty, sour and green apple. Tastes herbs, spices, sourish but also sweet. Way too much carbo for me, medium body. Batch 3: Hazy pale yellow colour with a medium sized white head. Smells herbs, spices, leather and dusty. Tastes sweetish, herbs and spices. Medium body, medium carbo. I preferred batch 3.

75 cl. bottle sampled @ RBESG 2013. Thx! to Dutchdrebus & jmgreenuk. Sampled batch #2 & #3 alongside. Excited to try this one. # Pours a very hazy citrus golden, big fluffy head. #3 is a bit darker & touch bigger head. Nose of # carries fuller developed brett profile, bit thinned out, mellow fruity hops, round lemon. Nose of #3 carries more brett, citrus hops, coriander noticeable here, barn in here & more herb and garden touches. #3 tastes of bitter hop, strongly bitter, clean brett body, spices, light raw brett character, clean brett body, very dry. #2 has cleaned out a lot thx to the brew, hops are more mleoow fruity, bitter spices dominate a bit here. Crispier, thinned out brett body. Prefer #2, brett has done great work here. Nice brew but not as good as expected or the usual price point – unlike Bitter Monk.

75cl Bottle at RBESG ’13 Grand Tasting. Batch #2 and 3 side-by-side. Both are hazy/milky yellow colour, white head. #2 smells like dung, barn, cow patties, Bretty funk. Flavour is totally dry, no sweetness left, grapes, tart, lemon, hay, bitter finish. #3 has more sweetness, light spicy aroma, more like a Belgian Wit, less dung. Flavour is also very dry, but a bit more juicy. Both are highly over-carbonated, making them hard to drink. Light-bodied. I prefer this one fresher, but both weren’t stellar. Rating is for #3.

Tasted both batch 2 and batch 3 at the RBESG 2013 Grand Tasting. Poured a light straw colour with a bubbly white head. Batch 3 was the darker of the two. The aroma is hoppy grass and nettles. The flavour is medium to strong bitter with lots of brett and plenty of grassy notes. Batch 3 had a hint of caramel in the finish. I liked this beer and perhaps more so than anyone else present. Drink it fresh. Its not one to age.

Bottled @ RBESG 2013 Grand Tasting. Tried batch #2 and #3 together. Brett, coriander, peppery taste. Hop is gone in both batches. The older one has more cow dung and is superdry. I would prefer this as fresh as possible, cause the funk doesn’t do it any good. But hop is long gone and I wouldnt classify as an IPA, but wild ale.
