500ml bottle from RusBeerShop in Moscow. Pours clear dark brown with a tall beige head. Aroma is dried fruits, treacle, sherry. Taste is medium to heavy sweet, dark malts, dried fruit, treacle, sherry. Light bitter finish. Full bodied.

.5 liter bottle purchased at an urban supermarket in Prague a month or so ago. A supercharged bock? Intriguing to me. I will use a snifter for this sampling, it is in place and I make the pour. Dark brown liquid topped by a healthy head of beige foam that settles fairly quickly. I lift the glass for a smell, something sweet, grain and field. A drink now. Much sweeter than expected but that is not necessarily a bad thing, bread, black licorice, maybe some red licorice too, toasted malt, cough syrup and hard candy. For such a sweet entrance, it has a full sensation, perhaps attributable to the high ABV. I will finish the glass, finish the bottle and probably seek again, just saying.

28.08.2022 - Jak dla mnie przesłodzone, za bardzo karmelowe, zbyt wysokie nasycenie. Ale może to urok stylu. Męczące.

Primátor 24 Double, Flasche, von meiner lieben Tochter aus Prag mitgebracht. - Tiefdunkles Kastanienbraun. - In der Nase ist wenig los, in erster Linie klebrig-süße Malzigkeit über dunklem Malz mit Pflaume. - Antrunk stark zuckrig-sirupsüß und erst in zweiter Linie malzig. Feine Fruchtigkeit (Pflaume, Rosine, Feige) und sehr sparsame Herbe dämpfen die fette Bayrisch-Blockmalz-Bonbonsüße auf ein gerade noch erträgliches Maß. Milder rezent, wenig komplex; immerhin sind die 10,5 % gut kaschiert. Im Abgang immer noch süß und nur wenig herb. - Erstaunlich süßer, wenig malzaromatischer und viel zu knapp gehopfter Doppelbock. Als hätte jemand eine Handvoll Zucker ins Bier geschüttet. Gut ist anders. (18.8.2022.)

50cl bottle pours with a dark mahogany colored body that supports a decent enough looking tan head of foam. The aroma offers up a snippet of minerals and roasted malts that quickly give way to plums and dark colored raisins. The taste delivers a swift hit of earthy roasted malts with a fair amount of minerals in tow. Just behind those comes a bruising, near brash, load of sweet slippery prunes, dates and brown sugar coated raisins. Another sip reveals thin layers of chocolate as well as a sense of lagery yeasty esters. This drinks fine with little sense of its big ABV. =approved=
