Aeresis It has a remarkable balance, a good body, a non-aggressive carbonation and a formidable roundness. On the palate the toasted notes dominate, followed by hoppy nuances that lead us back to the licorice perceived in aroma. The bitter and persistent finish reveals its "heretical" spiciness with a peppery heat in the aftertaste.

Bottle at BBT 7/2022. Med-thin body, medium carbonation. Quite high bitterness, combination of hops and dark malts in it. The dark malts themselves contribute only light chocolate to flavour, not more. Light sweetness. Kinda a bit of orange-chocolate candy presence. And besides that moderately citrusy in general. Pretty easy drinking despite being rather broad and deep in flavour. Quite good.

Weird beer - not really a black IPA, but black pepper ale suits it I guess. Coffee, roast, some chocolate. Weird but quite nice.

Sold as “black pepper ale”. Not a super clean bitterness that’s not so wonderfully balanced by a top notch crisp roasty character, the peppery is subtle but not substitute for a good roast. Elev bergamo airport

Bottle. Almost black. Malt, roast, licorice and white pepper in the aroma. Malty sweet, soft roasty flavor with smoke, white pepper and licorice. Caramel. Mellow, but also quite complex.

Bottle, 750 ml, courtesy of bro. Shared with Max and JFK10000. Pours black with beige head. Bit roasted, light coffee, spicy, sweetish with light bitterness.Lacking hoppiness for black IPA. Bit watery. Medium bodied.

Bottle at the hotel in Sofia - picked up at 1001 Beers. Pours hazy brown with a fluffy, tan head. Nice aroma, decentnroast, burnt toasted brown bread, orange peel, hints of pine. Medium sweet flavour, lots of restrained cocoa character, nips of black pepper, background brown bread and roast, mellow earthy bitterness. Medium. I died, slightly oily, with fine carbonation. Finishes with mellow warmth, more inklings of black pepper, sweet cocoa, brown bread, subdued roast. Quite a good, well rounded and interesting CDA.

Opaque ruby brown colour, small frothy tan head, mostly lasting, light lacing. Aroma roasted malts, dark fruits, caramel, chocolate, licorice. Taste light heavy to medium sweet and light bitter, roasted malts, chocolate, black berries, light spicy notes. Sweetbitter aftertaste, licorice, spicy notes, bit woody. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, good BIPA, easy to drink.
