Aeresis Black Ale is characterized by a black color with reflections that tend to brown and by a beige-colored foam, with good persistence. The balsamic and resinous notes of the hops stand out at first glance, blending with the toasted hints offering clear hints of licorice.

Aeresis It has a remarkable balance, a good body, a non-aggressive carbonation and a formidable roundness. On the palate the toasted notes dominate, followed by hoppy nuances that lead us back to the licorice perceived in aroma. The bitter and persistent finish reveals its "heretical" spiciness with a peppery heat in the aftertaste.

Black with thin creamy head. Aroma is quite floral. Flavour has some sweet liquorice at first. Pepper and roasted, bitter malts finish it off.

4th Aug 2016: shared 330ml bottle with minutemat. Brought home from Barcelona and the RBESG. Really enjoyed this ’Black Indian Pepper Ale’. Deep, dark brown body, red hue: beige topping. A malty and fruity nose is followed by a taste that is very similar in nature, dark, rich maltiness and dark berries but with a sprinkling of black pepper to add some spiciness. Very easy to drink and slightly different to most BIPA’s.

330ml bottle, shared with Blackhaddock in his man cave. Many thanks. Pours very dark brown with ruby hints, beige head. Aroma is dark malts, dark fruits. Taste is smooth, malt-lead with some definite black pepper, coffee, roast with a hoppy edge. Nice CDA.

330ml bottle from Saveur Biere. Black-brown coloured pour with a beige foam head, leaving lacing. Nose of chocolatey malt, bready, some pepper. Flavour is roasted malt, pepper, dark chocolate & coffee, with citrusy hop bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry roasted bitter finish. Very drinkable Black IPA.
