Tap at Maastricht Bierfestival. A nice dark ale with some oak-barreltaste what is not bad.

Clear fox brown colour, off-white head. Aroma of caramel, wood, light vanilla, apricot, touch of hops. Light bitter flavour, sweet, caramel. Light astringent. Lingering bitter finish. Not the most outspoken oak aged beer, but quite enjoyable.
(From draught @ Tilburgs Bier Festival ’13, during RBESG. Thanks ratebeer crew for sharing!)

Tap @ Tilburgs BF. Deep amber color. Long lasting, dense off white head. Aroma’s: sweet malts, herbs/spices, light wood, more wood retronasal, also red fruit. Flavor is moderately sweet with wood tones. Medium bodied. Would probably have been a mediocre Belgian style beer, but the subtle wood makes this quite enjoyable, albeit not extraordinary.

Sampled draught @ Tilburg Bierfestival 2013. Reddish amber with a tanned head. Nose is a bit weak, iron, sweet caramel, brown sugar, wood & vanilla. Taste is nicely sweet, brown sugar, candy, hint metallic, candy sugar, coca-cola, wood, sweet spices, thick sweet malts. Body is oily & sticky. Quite an enjoyable sweet beers & some minor off-metallic notes.

Tap @ Tilburg. Hazy amber color, medium head. Aroma of soft oak wood, bit spicy from the yeast, flowery hops, hint of vanilla. Soft sweet taste, slight dry. Medium bodied. Reminds of oak aged isidor. Wonderful balance, good complexity. Probably i would find the base beer boring, but the oak gives great depth. Good job!
