8.6 is a special blond beer with its own distinctive character. A powerful and strong beer with a golden haze, pleasantly sweet and viscous in its aftertaste. Full in body giving a rich mouth filling sensation. 8.6 Original has a fruity palate thanks to a sublime fermentation process. Expressly fruity and flowery on the palate, warm and full of character. Strong in alcohol content, an elegant, clear blond beer. Complex in flavour, beautifully balanced. Brewed with natural mineral water from Bavaria’s own spring and the best barley malt, wheat and hop.

0.5l can. This one came rushing out of the hotel room fridge, landed on the floor and started squinting all over the hotel room.. Managed to save some in my glass though. Good mornings, this is a crystal clear golden one. A fizzing white lager head that quickly demolished into nothing. Smells strong, boozy with metal and cork tones. A bit of nice sweetness also here, strong malt sweetness. Not that good in the taste. I mean it is what it is, a strong pale lager meant to get you drunk. Oily above average. Botella de 33 cl de el c. Ingles. Tomada en julio de 2000 (con fecha de cons pref para 17-2001. lote 16:27327DO). Versión de 8.6 vol. Sin mucho que resaltar salvo la sensación alcohólica de sus 8.6 vol, ligeros sabores maltosos y dulces. Una sorpresa en su momento. Normal.

Taste of light caramel, soft light caramel, dab of corn syrup, slight fruits, alcohol noticeable
Palate - medium carb and body, quite sweet, alcohol. Finish as main flavour, warming alcohol, a bit rough
Overall - Only had a couple of mouthfuls, wasn’t as terrible as I thought it would be

330 mml bottle tasted on 01/07/2014. Golden colour with a tiny white head. Aroma is strong alcohol and malta. Tasta has some caramel, alcohol and some malty. Medium body and carbonation. Next one please!

Geel bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is licht zoet en vlak, lichte sporen van caramel. Matig bier, valt tegen.

Golden colour with a quickly diminishing white head. Aroma has mild malty with sweet notes. Flavor has some caramel with a light maltiness and moderate bittery in the final. A little bit uncompensated.

This lager poured a clear, light yellow colour with a quick living, bright white head. Scents include wine, grape juice, fruit punch and candies. First swig was amazingly watery with very light flavours of fruit candy and a light hop flavor. Finish is very light with a slight sour flavor lingering with a malty, bread like flavor.

Pours amber with a quickly fading head.Nose shows hay, sweet clean malt, spicy hops, vegetal notes. Some industrial booze too.Similar flavours, quite sweet with some booze and vegetal notes.Needs more carbonation.Could be worse...
