Original beer. In essence it’s a dry and grassy saison, but it has some weird spices and herbs. It’s floral and quite tasty. Good beer.

24th November 2013
Hazy gold beer with a tidy white head. Palatenis light and crisp. Light pale malt under mild appley fruits. Oregano and something that is like pine but isn’t pine! Light finish. A curious beer but it went down okay with spicy food.

Bottle shared at the ChrisO Flags of Many Nations Easter Tasting 2013 - London. Massive thanks to Sr. O for allowing us to withdraw this bottle from his cellar. Pours lightly hazy yellow-gold with a fine, white cream head. Dough and mild pepper in the nose. Big sweet flavor, lightly boozy, with lots of doughy malts, hay, some white sugar. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Warming finish with white bread, dough, simple sugars, mellow pepper notes. Fine.

Bottle shared at Delirium, Brussels. It pours clear gold with a medium white head. The nose is very herbal indeed.... big on the oregano, bay leaf, hay and light spice. The taste is earth, strongly herbal, spice, decent bitterness, nectarine, pithy lemon, dough, metal, alcohol and some underlying sweetness with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate-high carbonation. Very odd indeed. Would be OK if you’re looking for a pizza beer, which I am most definitely am not!

750 ml bottle. Hazy golden/orange body with a big, creamy off-white head. Aroma has pale malt, fruit, saison yeast, flowers and a hint of acidity. Flavor is sweet, fruity, slightly fruity acidity, light pale malt, berries and flower. Medium body with a fine aftertaste. A bit original Saison with a light and pleasant sourness at the edge.

75 cl bottle @ Hervanta. Rated on 21.05.2010
Aroma has some soapy citrus with hints of spices, pencil and distant floral notes. Flavour has grapefruit, some citrus and floral notes. Also hints of spices. Could not really locate the oregano here. Good.

Bottle, 75cl corked. A lightly hazy golden beer topped by a small, off-white head leaving lacings. The aroma is spiced and flowery, with pale malts and fruitiness chiming in. Hints of cedar, flower honey, camphor and black pepper too. Quite complex flavor, with pale malts and a generic fruitiness doing most of the job, but spices, flowers and camphor blends nicely in. A nice herbal bitterness comes stronger towards the end. Medium to full body. Wow, this is one wonderful saison. 111229
