This is our unique version of an ancient style. A style as old as the ocean trade routes of the last centuries of Great Ships. Not as old as the equator they had to cross twice enroute, nor as old as the 10,000 miles or so of Di-Hydrogen Oxide and Sodium upon which they sailed, but older than the Circulithium-4 Lentoid that binds the Lupulin Quartnate onto your taste buds. Weird. Think about it. Now stop. OK, go again. Now stop. Think again. And stop. But we digress. Made with 43 different hops and 65 various malts, this redolent ale will likely float your boat, whatever planet you're on.

Keg at Brewdog Camden. Amber orange colour with off-white fluffy bubbly shiny head. Aroma is slightly funky, with something savoury in there. Taste nice and crisp, bit of sorachi ace maybe. Little prickle in the mouth and a touch of alcohol. Can't put my finger on the unusual taste but it is lovely.

On tap at 'Foodhallen'. Clear, deep amber with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, off-white head. Sweetish, gently fruity-resiny aroma of mango, orange jam and some pine. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter, quite resiny and slightly fruity taste of orange jam, pine and some mango, followed by a short, gently bitter, quite resiny and slightly grassy finish. Medium body, smooth, slightly creamy and moderately effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Pleasant old school IPA.

Bottle, 0.355l. Clear amber/copper pour, two finger soapy white head. Good retention, long lasting. Lots of lacing on the glass. Nice on the nose, malty background, good hop character, fruity and herbal notes. Medium body, medium carbonation. Relatively thick texture, pleasantly chewy. Bittersweet taste, more on the bitter side. Seems a bit harsh and unbalanced but I have to say that this sample doesn't seem too fresh. Poor storage probably, shame. Otherwise, aroma is mostly fine, caramel malt a little bit more pronounced then it should be, hops in the background. Grassy hops and citruses. Strong herbal spicy notes. Dry. Finish is dominated by harsh lingering bitterness and caramel malt. Yeah, like I said - not so fresh sample, sadly. Therefore, I'll score it a bit lower then it probably deserves but I'll adjust my rating accordingly once I get ahold of a fresh sample.

0,355 l bottle. Pours amber golden with big rocky off white head. Plenty lacing from medium lasting head that leaves a permanent veil. Aroma is quite hoppy, pine, tropical fruit, citruses along with caramel and bready malt base. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter. Body is medium, mouthfeel slick and carbonation above average. Finish is long, hop driven with pleasant lingering bitterness. Very nice.
