Tap at The Kernel Tap 27/11/2024 Juicy vibrant fruity aroma and taste with ripe tangerine and mango, some pineapple and pine notes, nice hop spice, sweet malty backing, solid bitter hoppy finish. Lovely.
Splendid…

Bottle. Yellowish golden colour with a small white head. Aroma is citrus, some mild toffee, nectar and mild wooden tones with some resin. Flavour is citrus, some nectar, tropical fruits and mild crisp maltiness to it. Very smooth and refreshing. Hides the alcohol excellently.

Bottle at home, bought from the brewery. Cloudy orange amber colour with big bubbly yellow gold head. Aroma is pine hops, lots of fruit, grapefruit, orange, peach, boozy sweetness. Not sure I have ever smelt cactus juice, but I reckon it would smell like this. Taste is fruity and malty. Bit biscuity, some caramel sweetness, lots of booze. Almost tripel like. Finish is nice and bitter, citrus hoppy. Quite full bodied and thick. Pretty damn nice.

Old tick many times when it was released. Quite possibly one of my favourite Kernels.

Draft @ Common Manchester. From notes. Nose was lemon, lime and exotic fruits. Beautifully balanced. Taste was citrus, mango, papaya, leading to bitter, and beautifully positioned resin. Magnificent showcase for the hop, and one the first IPAs I have got excited about in some time.
