33 cl. bottle sampled @ Kerstbierfestival 2011: never even heard of this one, didn’t know it existed – A: clear red amber with an off-white head – S: smells very sweet as well as somewhat thin, sweet liquorish, caramel, something fruity – T: sweet liquorish, liquorish candy, sweet grains, general candy, brown sugar & calvados – B: slick and oily, certainly not bad but definetly cannot play in the big boys league as far as BA beers are concerned

Sampled at OBER Kerstbierfestival Essen 2011. Hazy murky reddish color, small off-white head. Smell and taste a little infected and chemical. Some kind of sourness I don’t like anyway. Ok carbo, low to medium body.

Licorice notes. Very aged. Almost like a "fine wine" only not a "wine" and not all that fine (if that makes sense). Molasses pour. No head. Rated 4/12/10

Bottle (much different label). Huge, tan head over a hazy amber orange body. Aroma of brown sugar, pineapple upside-down cake, apple brandy (calvados), pitted fruit. Taste is tangy, browns sugar, toffee, canned pineapple, pitted fruit, figs. Interesting, alcohol, light spiciness. Something I cannot put my finger on. Some brandy burn. A bit of harsh bitterness. Creamy carbonation with a light cotton candy sweetness and some dry wood tannins.

19th October 2008. Cloudy amber brown beer. Sherryish toffee nose. A fruity sherryish start, a little aniseed and licorice. Some red fruit before a brandy/porty robust semi dry fand warming finish. Plummy aftertaste. Complex. Delicious!
