This is our unique version of an ancient style. A style as old as the ocean trade routes of the last centuries of Great Ships. Not as old as the equator they had to cross twice enroute, nor as old as the 10,000 miles or so of Di-Hydrogen Oxide and Sodium upon which they sailed, but older than the Circulithium-4 Lentoid that binds the Lupulin Quartnate onto your taste buds. Weird. Think about it. Now stop. OK, go again. Now stop. Think again. And stop. But we digress. Made with 43 different hops and 65 various malts, this redolent ale will likely float your boat, whatever planet you're on.

Tap at Salon piva 4/ 2018. Hopy taste, resin, caramel notes, citrus fruit. Clear golden color, white head. Hopy taste, malty notes, citrus fruit, resin, light sweet, medium bitter. Medium body, slick texture, soft to average carbonation and hopy bitter finish. Very good.

Bottle at Beehive, Gatwick South Terminal. It pours hazy dark amber with a thick, off-white head. Aroma is a lot of orange (peel, flesh, juice; all in); some iron filings and fragrant daisies. Nice. Taste is dry, with soft carb and quite intense bitterness (but not shocking, mind you). Long lasting, refreshing and nice.

Bottiglia 355 ml, schiuma fine bianco sporco persistente, al naso frutta tropicale agrumi, in bocca malto spezie frutta tropicale uva, corpo leggero, carbonazione moderata, lieve acidula, dolce con deciso amaro lungo nel finale. Classica IPA da battaglia. 07.04.18 @ Caffè Clerici Luino

Pint on tap at the Quadrant, Brighton. Golden amber beer with solid white head. No carbonation but laces well. Nose is earthy, dry, tropical. Slight fizz followed by fruit caramels. Great beer, a pleasure.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 21A). Bottle 35.5 cl - Batch L2280 (BBF 30.03.2018) AROMA: medium-low hop notes with a pine and fruity character. low malt background with a toffee character. APPEARANCE: deep gold color and clear. medium ivory head, moussy, with good retention. TASTE: medium-low piny hop notes with a soft lightly toffee malt background. medium to medium-high bitterness with a dry and bitter finish. PALATE: medium-low body with medium-low carbonation. OVERALL: an american IPA where the hops are not very intense (maybe the sample isnt very fresh).
