Pouring cloudy straw gold with a generous white head, this classic wheat beer is full of spicy, phenolic banana and clove yeast scents, which reappear on the medium-dry palate with a delicate green apple that brings the tasting to an elegantly dry finish.

Von relativ dunkler Farbe. Viel Hefe. Wirklich schön weich, nicht zu viel Kohlensäure. Hefig, getreidig, leicht malzig, leicht hopfig herb. Nicht so sehr fruchtig. Schön süffig, sehr wohlschmeckend. Gut. Bisher das beste Münchner helle Weißbier das ich getrunken habe – das schmeckt am wenigsten nach designtem Industriebier. Nachtrag: Im Sommer / Herbst 2021 hab ich das Weißbier von Giesinger und Wunderbraeu aus München probiert. Diese sind für mich ebenfalls klare Anwärter auf den Titel Bestes Münchner Weißbier. Das Giesinger übertrifft auf alle Fälle leicht das bereits hochanständigen Augustiner Weizen.

Uit een halve liter fles, in de tuin. Goud/oranje kleur, veel schuin, flink wat koolzuur. Goede smaak, wat meer zuur dan in andere Duitse weizen, masr heerlijk!

Bottle from the Offie, Leicester. Dark gold and slightly hazy with a large off-white head. Quite a bit of banana and sourdough in the aroma, but there's also an odd metallic note. The taste is more bitter that a lot of Hefes, with a grassy hop note in the finish. Some banana bread and a touch of apricot in the aftertaste. Medium to heavy carbonation. Not bad.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 10A). Bottle 50 cl - Batch L2618051U (BBF 10.18). AROMA: medium-low banana-like note, some clove, slight citric. faint wheat. APPEARANCE: deep gold and clear. medium moussy white head with medium retention. TASTE: low wheat flavor with faint banana-like notes. low bitterness with a semi-sweet finish. PALATE: medium body with medium carbonation. OVERALL: a weissbier a bit flat maybe because its on the end of its best before date.

On tap, 0.50l @ Augustiner Bräustuben. Aroma of yeast, bread, banana and herbs. Pours hazy amber color with medium creamy white head and average sparkling appearance. Taste starts medium sweet grainy, follows by fruity esters and yeast, mouthfeel is mild spicy, while finish is mild grassy bitter. Medium body, creamy texture and lively carbonation in palate. Tasty weisse...

Eingetrübte, orange-gelbe Farbe mit großer, weißer Schaumkrone. Süßer, hefiger Geruch mit Banane. Süßer, hefiger, malziger, leicht würziger Geschmack mit dem typischen Bananenaroma. Leichter bis mittlerer Körper mit aktiver Kohlensäure. Alles nicht zu prägnant ausgeprägt, aber schlüssig komponiert und gut trinkbar.

Bottle. Cloudy honey colour. Excelent stable white rocky head. Aroma: banana, spicy yeast, fruit, distant phenolics. Light body. Lively carbonation. The taste is pending from mediym dry to light sweet. Wheat malts, clove, minor banana, apples. Low bitterness. Decent. As a weissbier fan I expected more from authentic Munich brewery.
