The first Dutch non alcoholic IPA. This non alcoholic IPA packs all the punch you expect from an IPA. However, you can still get behind the wheel after this one. Or join a dance competition. Up you you :)

Bottle from Monster Magnet, EU Local Swap. Cheers! Genuine IPA aroma - pine and resin. A slightly opaque dark amber. Thck fluffy white head. Light bitter, with sweet undertones. It wants to be hoppy but can't quite manage it. Light bodied. Slick. Soft carbonation. Cooling and refreshing. Certainly the best LA beer I've had and more IPA than one of those crappy UK bitters like Greene King.

Thnx to geert. Pours unclear, darker blonde. Not much head. Smell is sticky maltose , maltsyrup. Taste is reqsonable bitter, maltsyrup, mild hoparoma. Very decent, but way to expensive for what it is.

Bottle. Color: Amber, big frothy white head. Lots of tiny carbonaton bubbles. Taste: Starting with strong floral and citrus hop bitterness, but soon the medium sweet malt notes increase. Soft carbonation, medium body. Well recognizable that this is a non alcoholic beer due to the prominent maltness and wort in the finish, but this is definitely the best non alcoholic beer that I have tasted up to now.

Golden colour with thin head. Aroma has an initial strong scent of fresh, resinous hop. Flavour is similar but it gets a bit sweet and malty towards the end. Good effort though.

Rerate: bottle from Mitra Bunnik. New label, maybe a bit changed recipe? Maybe a bit fresher sample? Maybe because I tasted it next to a mediocre Kompaan NA and a sweet and bit artificial NA weizen. But its the best of the bunch, easily. Upping the score to 3.7. Bottle from het Biermoment, 15 cl sample. Slight hazy golden to orange color, medium frothy head. Aroma of citrussy hop, sweet dusty cardboard and slight caramel. Soft bitterness, some cookie sweetness and the herbal cardboard of a typical malt beer. Decent try, but it still has the nasty dusty maltiness all the malt-beers have, even though they try to mask it with a dash of hop. 2.6

Bottle @ home shared by Caesar. Hazy orange color, average sized off-white head. Aroma is a little grainy but also nicely hoppy. Tastes about the same: grainy a bit but also decently hoppy. A bit thin bodied. Solid attempt as a non alcohol IPA but I wouldn’t buy a crate of it.

0.33 l bottle from ’Drankenspeciaalzaak van Haastregt/Lamers’, best before March 2018. Slightly hazy, orangeish amber with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, quite fruity and moderately resiny aroma of orange, pine, tangerine and a touch of wort. Moderately sweet, slightly bitter, rather fruity and slightly resiny taste of mango, orange, honey, pine and some wort, followed by a short, medium bitter, slightly resiny finish. Almost medium-bodied, slightly creamy and a bit effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Best alcohol-free beer I’ve ever tasted by far, still has that wort character but it definitely resembles an IPA without being as bone-dry as other examples. Good!
