0,33L bottle (from Wine of Galilee), BB 06.11.15. Pours clear orange with off-white head. The head stays. Aroma is sweet, honey, fruits, some dryness. Flavor is sweet, malt, honey, caramel, some fruits, very faint bitterness. Body is watery. Overall: very simple, but drinkable.

Classic and stereotypical ’spéciale belge’ under the Petrus brand, a hodgepodge of totally unrelated beers marketed by Bavik (now De Brabandere). Pure amber colour, clear, medium off-white foam, aroma of restrained fruitiness, nutty and bready malt sweetness, a bit yeasty, some grassy hops; dried fruits in the mouth, honeyish sweet touch, nutty and caramelly malts, a bit thin body, fairly neutral, with some grassy hop bitterishness in the finish. Good quencher and actually not a bad example of this session style at all.

amber colour, moderate sized off-white head; aroma of raisin, figs, floral hops, yeast and some caramel; taste of yeast, caramel, dried fruity notes, hints of honey and maybe some bread; intensive carbonation; good Belgian ale - much better than La Trappe Puur I’ve tasted just before this - at least for me :-)

Bottle: Pours bubbly amber with a minimal white head. Bright fruit, a little spray paint in a roma. Yeast, apple-peel flavor. Malty, light and sparkling/tingly. Simple, but tasty.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein leicht trübes kupferfarbenes Bier mit ordentlicher Schaumkrone. Geruch hefig, malzig süß, leicht würzig. Geschmack leicht hefig, fruchtig malzig, Gewürze, blumig.

Bottle. Hazy medium orange-brown body, thin off-white head. Nose of crackers, toast, and caramel. Light body, bready and dusty with light herbal notes. Hints of cardboard. Mediocre.

Bottle @ home shared by Thompson. Clear copper color, medium sized quickly diminishing white head that leaves fair lacing. Smell and taste malts, lightly iron, straw, a bit sweet-bitter. Average body, suitable carbonation. Decent exemple of a Speciale Belge, although that’s not a separate style on RB.

Flaske delt med Ovesen: flott skum og klar gylden farge. Lite aroma, og smaken er ganske så intetsigende. Men den deilige ettersmaken gjør den allikevel lett å nyte.
