Deutlich getreidiger Hopfenantrunk, grasig, vollmundig. Dunkel, spritzig, hopfig bleibend. Etwas klebriger, wenig bitterer Ausklang. 11/10/11/9/8/9

500ml bottle. Slightly cloudy copper colour with average to huge, thick, frothy to creamy, fully lasting, moderately lacing, off-white head. Citrusy and piney hop aroma, notes of grapefruit and tangerine, more perfumed than earthy hints of rye in the background. Taste is citrusy and bitter hoppy, minimally tart, hints of blood orange, redcurrant, cautious dry touch of rye. Very nice.

Pours hazy orange-tinged amber into a Sam glass. Off-white soapy head with medium retention recedes to skim surface. Earthy spice aromas. Medium bodied with sweet toffee and spicy rye upfront turning to mild resin before the lasting earthy pepper finish.

Purchased at a local IGA Extra. Pours a slight hazy deep amber colour with a creamy light-beige head, lasting a long time and giving some dirty foam lace. Hoppy nose with some caramel notes from the malt. Smooth, almost creamy mouthfeel with just a tad of dryness. The taste is not too crazy on the hop (but still there), with decent malt with some burnt hints in the finish. A nice malty rye beer with good presence of hop.

Bouteille 500ml.

Decent but not a stand-out beer and really not up to the standard set by some of their beers. Rye adds a nice grainy bitter bite to malt. Pours amber without much head or lacing. Some hops. Average carbonation. Bottle from Delires du Terroir.

50cl bottle, bottled on 27/07/2012.
