Brewed for the seven-yearly coronation festivities in Tongeren, oldest town in Belgium. Amburon refers to Ambiorix, a Gallic chieftain out of "de bello Gallico".
Launched in 2009, formerly brewed by Brouwerij de Dool. brewed by Anders in 2011. In 2012 a pub-brewery in the center of the town will brew this regional beer every sunday (Pub-brewery Au Phare).

Bottle. Golden color, cloudy, horrible gusher. Dusty, slightly floral aroma with a hint of butter, Malty, slightly soured flavor with floral, yeasty notes. Disappointing.

Bottle @ Aarhus tasting. Hazy golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, fruity and light yeasty. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. 130416

Bottle @ Johns. Pours light yellow with a white head. Aroma of light malt, yeast, wheat, caramel, light bread, faint hops notes. Flavor is light sweet, malt, light wheat, yeasty, light bread, light citrus. Medium body, rather high carbonation, bordering overcarbonated. 130416

Bottle, 6.3%. Clear pale yellow with big white head. Aroma is malt, hop, yeast and a little orange peel. Flavour is malt, yeast, fruit, hop, medium sweet, spices and a little bitter.

Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are grass, fruits, malt, hops, straw and has a nice bitter finish.

Bottled@Tuulensuu, Tampere (old backlog). Hazy golden colour with a mediumsized creamy/foamy head, which lasts for quite a while. Aroma is sweet malts, some honeylike sweetness, mild spices as well as a slight touch of alcohol. Flavour is coriander, some toffee, spices, sweet malts, alcohol and some slight yeast to it. Quite easy going, even though there’s quite a bunch of elements to it. Goes well with Mitraillette.
