Süß-metallerner, erst spät Kaffeesatz-artiges malziges Aroma, etwas nach Kaugummi. Zum Ende wässrig, dafür nimmt das Malz etwas zu. Dennoch dürftig, nur wenig harmonisch. 7/7/6/6//6

7th March 2010. On tap at the overpriced Grand Place. Clear brown beer. Light fresh palate. Sweet malt - very sweet! Has some nicely integrated bubblegum. A pretty average beer elevated somewhat by it’s freshness. The whole is greater than the sum of the parts!

On tap at Grand Place brewpub, Brussels. Attractive dark chestnut colour, lasting beige head. Easy drinking if not too interesting. Fresh tasting in the mouth.

From tap at the brewpub as Dark. Pours hazy dark orange with a small and lacing off-white head. Mild spiced and floral yeasty aroma, vague caramelish touch. Flat carbonation mouthfeel. Sweet malt flavoured, light perfumed and vague spiced. Yeasty. Floral and fruity finish. This really looses it on palate and the flavour.

Dark red with a medium beige head. Sour aroma with sour cherries, lacto, roasted malt and lacto notes. Flavour had roasted, malt, sour cherries, lacto and woody accents. Finished sour.

tap at Grand Place - Pours dark amber with a thin head and a fairly mild malty aroma. It tastes of sweet caramel malt with a hint of fruit and a little hops in the finish. It’s smooth going down and overall a decent quaff.

Solid brune with very light carbonation. A sweet malty backbone with light bitterness. Easy to drink, but not outstanding.

Tap at the brewpub. Dark amber color with a frothy beige/tan head. Slightly sour aroma over light roasted caramel. Medium body with smooth carbonation. Lightly sweet and spicey. Could be coriander with just a little clove. Sort of recalls wit aspects. Leaves the mouth tingly. Smooth.

Draught @ Les Brasseurs de la Grand Place. A bit hazy, dark brown body with a descent off-white head. Aroma is mostly malt and caramel. Flavor is rather sweet caramel malt, some bitterness and a hint of spices and yeast. Not a typical Belgium Brune, more like something between a sweet American brown and a sweet Belgium Brune. Quite refreshing and not to bad, I think this might be the best beer from this brewery.
