can - Hazy gold pour. Aroma of tropical fruit, citrus, and resin. Flavor is moderately bitter with pineapple, malt, and some earthy character. It's pretty good while not entirely coming together for me as an IIPA.

Can. A- Pineapple juice, hoppy, dank, mildew, alcohol. A- Golden orange color, hazy liquid, off white head. T- Bitter, overripe tropical fruit. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, bitter finish. O- Seems that Tallgrass label art is getting progressively crappier. Beers like this also make me question if the beer is trending in the same direction. Not a horrible beer for DIPA fans but really not that great either. If you are going to include pineapple I want a nice juicy IPA. This was pretty bitter and astringent tasting. Lots of aggressive bitterness and a sharp alcohol bite.

16 oz can. BB 01/13/17. You know, Tallgrass is starting to get pretty pricey - $13 for a 4-pack in StL. Had rouble finding singles but when I did it was $4 for a single anyway. Since I bought this in StL, without time to drink it there, I needed to pack it on my flight back to Maryland. I gave a can to a friend b/c why the heck would a RBian need a 4-pack of tallboy DIPAs. I packed 2 cans, just in case, and left a can in StL. Well, freaking Southwest baggage handlers beat the shit out of my garment bag (it was my only luggage) and I had a bag full of smelly DIPA covering my brand new (and pricey) shoes. Long story short, I pack $13 for 1 can and don’t buy expensive shoes.
Dented can pours clear golden with a thick, long lasting, mountainous head. Aroma is thick dough but not sweet or sticky maltiness with a moderate bitter hoppiness. Hops are moderately green with a bit of a dulled fruit and a faint dank. Not the tropical bomb I was expecting from the name and the label. Flavor has a lesser malt character and a more prominent bitterness that really takes away from my enjoyment. Not bright or even fruity. Not sure where the pineapple flavor is supposed to be.

can. Had at random at Ted’s Market in Fort Wayne. Very smooth yet powerful. Was a little intoxicated when I tried it, but it was nice!

Pours a light golden yellow, with good-sized, but quickly-dissipating head. Aroma is quite grassy, with some fruit--berry and citrus. Flavor is very fruity, with tropical flavors, citrus, some pine/spruce notes. Fairly sweet beer, though not overpowering. Bitter finish. Decent beer.
