Bomber from Tavour. Nose is light bourbon, candi sugar, and oaky vanilla. Murky brown with a small beige head. Flavor is lightly sweet with light bourbon and vanilla.

22oz bottle pours out cola brown color topped with a small head. Nose is bourbon barrel vanilla notes and plenty of spice. Taste is more of the nice sweet bourbon barrel vanilla rich malts and spice.

Bomber from Tavour. Dark, clear brown, bubbly head disappears. Aroma is raisins, plums, brown sugar, hint of booze. Taste is a straightforward quad, any BBA notes are subdued, some woody flavors.

Amber-brown colour, with not much head. Has a toasty barrel character, touch of vanilla, I actually do not get a ton of quad, Sweet, a bit of quad fruitiness, lots of vanilla. Tastes ok, though not with much character.

Tasting at Matt’s; 12% ABV; bottle 972/1000
Hazy amber-brown color, a few sparse bubbles. Nice aroma, bourbon and fudge, some alcohol. Strong body, moderately sweet, desperately and unsuccessfully fought by the alcohol; but the malt depth is good; bourbon.
Malty but very boozy. Not bad.

22 oz. bottle, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma brings out notes of bourbon, caramel malts, dark fruits, and Belgian yeast. Flavour is nicely integrated, with notes of bourbon upfront, followed by brown sugar, dark fruits, caramel and Belgian yeast. Inauthentic, but cohesive and nicely balanced. Good stuff.

Super thick, muddy brown, no visibilty. Thick head. As opposed to the previous quad I just drank. There is a strong medicinal/herbal quality. A little green flavor. And not very Belgiany. It’s also not overly sweet or alcoholic. Vexing and surprising beer. I like the lack of esters and sweetness but the weird herbal character, I like it sometimes and not at other times.

Draft 7 oz pour at the Rooftop brewers night at the Collective. Pours a caramel brown color with zero head. Soft oak like aroma. Flavor is so far from what I expected. Very sweet up front. Malty throughout, soft plastic like haracter. Not much bourbon coming through, but definitely the oak. Get some of the heat late from the booze, but it is non existent on the flavor. Tastes flat to me. No carb, and a big sweetness that lingers forever. Thus beer is advertised to have good carbonation, and I got zero. The beer isn’t bad, but work is needed for sure.
