Kloeke Blonde, is een typisch lichtgeel Belgisch Blond bier. Lekkere doordrinker zonder nonsens met mout- en hopaccenten. Licht droge afdronk. Kloeke Blonde werd voor het eerst gebrouwen in 2003 en was het derde Struise bier recept die we ooit ontwikkelden.

33cl bottle from Struise Beershop, Brugge. Pours hazy golden with a decent and lasting, white head. Yeasty aroma with some slightly funky notes, fruits, herbs, citrus, spices and hints of barnyard. Moderate sweet with a bit too yeast dominated flavours, but also fruity, hoppy and pleasant with medium bitterness and some acidity. Medium(+) body with carbonation a little bit on the soft side. Certainly Belgian and certainly decent, but a bit too yeasty to be a favourite.

33 cl. bottle poured in to a Tulip. Lightly hazy, deep golden colour with a thin, dense white head. Fruity aroma with yeasts, sweet fruits - apricot, peaches - herbal hops and spices. Taste is light bitter. Medium body with a creamy texture and an average carbonation. Finishes dry and bitter - as claimed on label. A good fruitiness. Lovely Blonde with a good drinkability.

Bottle in the car, sourced from the Old School - March 2013. Pours lightly hazy gold with a moderate, foamy white head. Pale bready malts comprise the aroma, with accents of Belgian yeast and floral hops. Light-medium sweet flavor with modest dry biscuits, a bit of yeast, pale malts. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Drying on the finish with further biscuity malts, a bit of balancing bitter hay. Great balance. Very drinkable. Lovely.

This was the Struise’s very first beer, a blonde session ale with a thick, off-white, sticky head leaving pretty lacing on the edge of the glass, and a deep peach blonde colour, slightly hazy at first but completely cloudy after adding the deposit; vivid sparkling. Quite strong aroma of orange peel, apricot, carrots, dried leaves, thyme, soapy hops, chamomille, honey. Neutral onset with strong carbonation and fresh citrus touches, pale malt sweetness, slick and somewhat thin mouthfeel, even a bit watery, soft spiciness in the finish, dry, well-balanced, long. Okay beer but what a difference with the long string of masterpieces they created after this...

Bottle @ Molenhof Restaurant, Oostvleteren. Pours light hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma of malt, wheat, light sweetness, honey, light floral hops. Flavor is wheat, yeast, little sweet, honey, flowers. Thin to medium body, average carbonation. Nice and refreshing. 020814

Bottle. Shared by suurjuust, thanks! Pours hazy golden with white head. The head stays. Aroma is sweet, sour, malt, and spices. Taste is sweet, fruits, citrus, yeast and some metallic notes. Body is rather light. Overall: ok brew.

Bottle. Creamy White good mostly deminishing head. Yellow colour. Moderate malty and hoppy and yeasty aroma. Modferate bitter flavor . Nice fruity esters. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily palate. Nice.
