Tap @ Borefts 2012. Maltaroma and flavor. Dried fruit and cherry and pineapple sweets. Sweet but the grassy hops, especially in the finish, do compensate this. Good effort!

American-influenced Doppelbock with thin, light beige, unstable head and bronze colour. Aroma of caramelly malts and citrussy hops, yeast, orange peel; sweet bitter taste, malty with soft mouthfeel and spicy hop bitterness in the finish.

On tap @ Borefts 2012. This is a near-clear plum-amber one with a medium sized bubbly off-white head. Fruity-caramel sweet mainly. Some banana sweetness also. Light pine cones with a swiff of alcohol and dark malts. It's average to soft on the carbonation with a sticky mouthfeel. Sweet in flavor. Makes my mouth go light dry. Raisins and hints of dates and other dried fruits. There is also a slight sourness in this one. 28.09.2012

Draught @ Gallows Bird, Espoo
11,2% ABV - Pours clear dark reddish brown with a small foamy head. Aroma of caramel, toffee, berries, some bready malts and vanilla. Taste is smooth and heavy with some sweet caramely toffee notes, malts, vanilla and syrup. Finish is sweet and warming with a lot of toffee and caramel. Alcohol is extremely well hidden. Nice, quite tasty and complex doppelbock. Like eating a toffee candy.

On tap at Borefts 2012, Bodegraven. Pours clear, rich gold with a creamy, yellow-beige head. Tangy berry nose, some honey notes. Medium to big sweet flavor, spices, apple, light wood, caramel. Medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation. Light warmth to finish, modest dryness, some bitter wood. Interesting one. Doesn’t work all the way through, but good at points.
