[3/4/11] Bottle at ACBF 2011. Dark murky brown with a beige head. Aroma of malt, some candies, some fruitiness and some hops. Sweet malty flavor with caramel and some fruits, continues bitter and hoppy. Thick body.

From tap at ACBF2011. Pours hazy dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted malty and alcohol. Sweet malty, slight alcohol and caramelish. Warming alcohol note. Roasted dense caramelish and slight bitter to mild fruity finish. Lasting alcohol presence. Smooth though.

Draught Deep chestnut colour under an ultra-dense coffeecream head. Vinous, liqueurish nose, and very sticky-smelling caramel, like molten cassonade sugar. Fruity, yet hoppy-bitterish main taste; but the caramel lurks at the horizon. Alcohol remains formidably hidden in the mouth, beer seems only medium bodied, but very slick. Talk about a beer hiding its strength.

Clear reddish amber ale, very smooth creamy off)white head, stable and adhesive. Aroma: caramel, dried fruits, hops, fruity, alcohol. Taste: sweet malts, candy, some hops. Aftertaste: fruity, some hops, ending pretty dry with numbing alcohol in the back of the throat.
