Hazy green-yellow beer with small, but dense & stable white head, fed by vigourous carbonation. Terribly perfumed, coriander being the main constituent. Further a bit floral & citrus-like. Lemonlike flavour, surounded by mainly coriander flavoured beer. More or less decent balance sour-(malt)sweet, very perfumey flavours. Quite empty palate, just a bit wheatslickness. So this is the basic beer for all the horrid concoctions? In itself it is not a bad witbier, just quite perfumed, which is probably deliberate (still, just a bit too much of the infernal wheat, IMO). For the lovers of the style.

Draught. Spicy aroma, clove, a little sour. The flavour is clovy, distinctly acidic and lemony. Very flavourful for a wit, perhaps too much.

Bottle: Poured a hazy yellow color with white head. The aroma is consistant of many of this type of beer, very citrus and wheat. The taste is at first citrus and tingly but leaves to allow the wheat finish.

Bottle Hazy yellow body. Rocky white head which diminishes fastly. Fresh aroma of coriander, orange, citrus and hops. Lightly bitter, lightly sweet flavour. Very plain flavour, so not very complex. Quite unattractive.

Bottled (4,8%, as Floris Wit-Blanche). Pale hazy yellow colour, small white head. Aroma of old sweaty socks with some fruitish and wheaty hints. Flavour is water. With weak hints of wheat and some skunkyness. Glad I didn’t have to buy this. Thanks to my friend who brought it from Belgium .)

A hazy light orange beer with a thin white head. The aroma is overpoweringly wheaty. The flavor is sweet with notes of wheat and coriander, and with a thin body.

(Bottle 33 cl) Well, I guess this is the real deal then - the wheat base beer for all the Florisgaarden fruit beers (of very diverse quality....) Very pale, almost greyish, with big floating clouds of yeast which take a loooong time to settle. Very dry and slightly tart - or perhaps rather lactic. Actually this reminds me a bit of Berliner Weisse. 260300

Bottled. Cloudy pale golden. Candy aroma. Sugary sweet with light body and soft mouthfeel and notes of paper. As always for Huyghe it’s much, much too sweet to be drinkable. Commercial crap!

Opaque straw-yellow colour. Slightly bready, yeasty aroma with very subtle spice. Sweetish palate with minty, herbal notes underpinning clean malts.
