Served a light brown/dark amber color, topped with a fairly decent white head. Notes of bananas, wheat, fruit and spices (star anise) in the aroma - pretty nice altogether. Taste is sweet, some banana notes and some star anise taste. Also in the finish. Not a fan of this style, but this one was quite nice.

Appearance: Cloudy yellow color with a fine big white head, that leaves a nice lacing.
Aroma: Wheat, light banana, mild fruity and some yeast.
Palate: Medium (+) body. Tad sweet, and a mild bitterness. Rich to average carbonation.
Taste: Wheat, fruity, yeast and some sour notes.
Overall impression: The aroma was better than the flavor. Looked very inviting, but failed a bit.
Personal stats: On tap @ source

tap at the brewpub. Cloudy pale orangey yellow, large and creamy white head. Yeasty nose. Quite light-bodied, slightly fruity, shy finish. Nothing much wrong, except it’s a bit thin.

Tap at the brewery. Aroma is classic yeasty-banana-clove mixture, does not disappoint. That can not be said about the taste. Hazy yellow to golden colour, white head, moderate duration. Taste is admittedly not as good as the nose might suggest. Yeasty, clove, lightly citrusy, a bit sourish. The body is a bit thin and the dirnkability paradoxically suffers. Average one.

At the Brewpub. Cloudy gold beer, tidy white head. Palate is soft and dry. Light spice, trace of dry citrus. Brighter touches of banana and bubblegum ester. Semi dry finish. Soft and drinkable.

19/07 On tap at the brewpub. It poured typical hazy lighter yellow body with big head. Wheat and esters aroma, cloves, banana and coriander. Flavor was sweet, banana, sugar, some chalk, spicy, even peppery with a pleasant touch of herbal hops. Medium in body with nice long finish that showed nice herbal bitterness again, besides its dominant chalk and banana of course. Tasty Hefeweizen, nice specimen of the style and a very pleasant surprise.
