Half pint handpulled at The Cayo Arms in Cardiff, Dark brown body, slightly unclear. Smell of dark fruits. Complex flavour containing plums, dark caramel, honey, nuts and bitterness towards the end. Gives a dusty and grassy impression (02.02.2007).

Bottle: Reddish-amber coloured, big fluffy off-white head, slowly diminishing; stronger aromatic-bitter nose, ripe black-berries in the background and a tinge of molasses; robust, quite dry bitter flavour; short fruity, dry-bitter finish. A pleasant brew !

Bottled. Amber color, decent off-white head, lace. Toasted malts and fruit cake in the aroma. Sharp, metalic mouthfeel. Malty with dark fruits, hints of licorice. Just a bit too low ABV to make this really good ESB. Slighty earthy flavors too found.

Sampled cask conditioned at GBBF.
Dark amber. Definitely a malt accented bitter, chewy malts, some crystal malt flavour. Dryish with medium bitterness. Really good bitter!
