Bottle. Pours clear golden. Aroma is softly citric and floral, noble hops, some grains. Body is light and crisp, softly sweet and rather bitter, some burnt bread towards the palate, biscuit dough, otherwise quite gentle in flavours. Dry palate, but refreshing. A better one among classic Kölschs.

50cl bottle from Abeervinum, Rimini, Italy. Pours slightly pale gold, transparent, with limited white foam. Aroma is grainy, sweet in general. Body and carbonation are average. Taste is overly sweet, uninteresting. Finish is regular.

Bottle at Bierschenke. It started well as a very malty pilsner, but it went down hill. As I progressed it got sweeter and sweeter and I was struggling towards the end. Not good, but then I don't have a sweet tooth.

On tap at the terrace of the City Museum, Trier, just beside the Porta Nigra. It pours clear golden with a thick, white, long-lasting head. Aroma is very -very mild: a hint of cereal and some white flowers. Mouthfeel is soft, creamy, refreshing, slightly bitter. Aftertaste doesn't really exist.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Well here we go, my 1000th rating and nothing special which is a bit sad but hey ho. The kolsch was smooth as expected but nothing out of te ordinary. (26/7/18) ----- Bottle from a kiosk in Cologne. Went down a treat sitting by the river looking at the Dom. 2.6 to 2.8. (15/6/19) ------ On tap at Zum Haller, Monschau. Just an easy going kölsch. Can't snoot at it, can't rave about it. It does what it needs to well. 2.8 to 3.

0.5 l bottle from a local store in Berlin. Had it for the first time in 2005 in Cologne. Clear golden colour. Grainy, bready and grassy aromas. Herbal and grassy hops. Flavours are spicy in the finish, balanced grainy throughout. Some vegetable character. Light to medium body, moderate to high carbonation, moderately lasting finish. Not bad.
