Bottle. Aroma and flavour of cherries. Cloudy, dark red colour. Aftertaste is nicely acidic.

Bottle: Poured a medium dark red with a medium pink color head with average retention. Aroma of cherries is overpowering and mostly comprised of syrup but some classic Rodenbach sourness is also noticeable. Taste is at first very similar to some of the other Belgian syrupy beer around with a not so enjoyable chemical aftertaste but I did noticed that toward the ends there is some of the Rodenbach taste I have been accustomed to. Overall, I believe this to be a classic Rodenbach with some added chemical syrup which render the experience more or less enjoyable.

Bottled. Hazy dark red, small pink head. Ripe cherry aroma. Sweet and lightly balsamic with only a light tuch of acidity. Refreshing, but I would certainly like to have it drier.

Murky, deep red body. Mostly diminsihing, fizzy, pink head. Virtually no lace. Nose of white Mosel-wine (a sweet, German wine-variety) and cherries. Moderately sweet and moderately acidic initial flavour. Lightly sweet, lightly acidic finish (averagily long). Light bodied. Fizzy carbonation.

What a suprise to find this one from the local grocery store, never thought that I will buy my first Flemish sour ale from there.
Bright ruby color with small but steady reddish head. Skunky rubbery aroma with notes of sweet cherry. Carbonated mouthfeel, sugary cherry and crisp lingonberry flavor with a nice sourish finish. (3/4/7/4/13 3.1)

This beer is exaclty what it’s pretending to be. Rodenbach Classic with addition of 25% krieken. Very cloudy dark red color with a dark pink head. Aroma of cherry, some marzipan, bit spicy. Taste is moderately sweet and lightly sour. Sticky palate.

(A score of years ago, Palm shook up the world of beer, and also a number of people never before considered as beergeeks, by terminating the - by me - unlamented Alexander. The protests never made much sense to me, as I always considered Alexander a devious way to ruin perfectly good Rodenbach Grand Cru. On the opposite, the defence of Palm, claiming that Alexander was anything but traditional, made all the sense in the world. As if to prove the limitlessness of my naiveté, and of their own hypocrisy, here’s Redbach; ordinary - sorry, *classic* - Rodenbach diluted with cherry juice to a childrens’ drink of 3.5%...) Dark purple beer; dense pink-cyclamen head, leaving fine lace. Concentrated cherry juice in the nose, cherry sweets for the very young, ending a bit woody. For a short time, an unspeakable flavour, reminiscent of the aromas wafting form an opened sack of dried dog food. Thank God, it turns quickly to sweet cherrydrops flavour. Truth to tell, the finish is even tart-fruity, even more acidic than ordinary Rodenbach. The acidity lightens the texture, whilst the unfermented fruitwhatevers enhance it. Quite some dry-out effect. It is much less horrible than I expected, and I would even endorse it, but for the artificial smell, the first taste impression, and, as said, the limitless hypocrisy of the parent company. I think the Google ad about "Cherry Concentrate" which joined itself to this page, was the most apt comment imaginable.

A hazy red beer with a disappearing pink head. The aroma is sweet cherries. And so is the flavor though combined with a light sourness. A very enjoyable beer.
