Backlog June 2010. Unclear dark golden body under a big, foamy off-white head. Aroma of sweet malt, Belgium spicy yeast and warming alcohol. Taste is sweet and malty with brown sugar, spices and warming alcohol. Rather classic, straight forward, still nice and pleasant with high drinkability.

Light orange colour with thin head. Aroma of bready malts and yeast. Flavour is sweet. Overripe fruits. Boiled oranges. Slight tongue numbing spiciness.

75cl bottle from Carrefour, I presume. I have an old rating of the regular version, which might have been the 'Refermentée' too for all I know, but this one was definitely it. Hazy dark amber with a big, frothy, white head. Strong aroma of caramel, cinnamon, biscuit, dried plum, banana candy, honey, apricot, red apple, wet clove, brioche, candied orange, triple sec. Taste has very sweet apricot, plum, orange & banana, enhanced even by a thick toffee & brioche-like malty body, touch of honey, almost feeling like brown sugar but not in a 'residual sugar' manner, toned down by soft spiciness in the middle. Ends herbal hoppy, but with lots of sweet dried fruit, some honey & warming triple sec-like alcohol lingering. Medium body, syrupy texture, soft carbonation. Certainly a big Belgian Ale with a lot of character, very sweet of course but ideal for dessert.

Tight rocky off white head on an unclear reddish orange, finely carbonated body. Belgian yeast, orange & syrup aroma. Medium to full bodied, thick & oily over the palate with crisp effervescent clean finish. Sweet orange, Belgian yeast, honey & marmalade tastes with a long fruity finish.

From the 75 cl bottle. Gold with very little head. Bubblegum and yeast in the aroma. Bready. Taste is mildly sweet up front with a dry, mildly bitter finish. Medium to heavy body. Touch syrupy. Well carbonated. Alcoholic. Glad I had a lot of co-drinkers otherwise it would have left me flat in the floor.

Bottle had sit in ly fridge for quite some time now. Time to finally open this one up ! Pours unclear, bit darker amber. Small to no white head. Smell is sweet, grainy, bit boozy. Taste is thick, rich raisins, mild oxidation ( this bottle isn't fresh, would deserve a re-rate, but not sure if this one is still being produced ? ) the oxidation does the beer quite well though ! I love the raisiny touches this one currently has. dades, leaves in the fall when walking in a forest, caramel,... Quite good body, very low carbo, which I love. Even though I haven't had it fresh - so I can't make an honest comparency - I do think I probably enjoy this one aged ( as it is now, BBE 2014 ) than fresh. Perhaps this might be good to know for others that still have bottles - drink it nnow, this one won't get in a better shape.

Flasche (75 cl, BBE 2015, etliche Jahre daheim gelagert). Etwas schroffer Nachgeschmack. - Sehr gutes, wuchtiges Tripel.
