Powerful beer, with a silky texture and aromas of the roasted malts and macchiato. Subtle notes of vanilla, cinnamon and chocolate. There can only be one Cassius that has the mightiness and the gentleness that will blow you away. “He floats like a butterfly and stings like a bee…”.

Keg at Vitamin B - Sofia, Bulgaria. Pours deep black-brown with a creamy tan head. The nose holds well roasted malts, milk chocolate, coffee. Medium sweet flavor with light oily vanilla, more milk chocolate, hints of licorice, dark berries, mellow earthy bitterness. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Moderately sweet on the finish, with some burnt marshmallows, milky coffee, cocoa, scorched earth. Great stuff. Really nicely balanced and still rich.

0.33 l bottle at Tehnolog’s Craft Bar, Novi Sad, Vojvodina. Dark brown, almost black with small creamy beige head. Roasty, caramel, coffee. Creamy, light to medium body. Could have more aroma. Earthy and roasty. Light dry finish. Uninteresting.

Dec ’14. A 0.33 l bottle courtesy of Marko, great thanks for sharing! It poured hazy brown body with medium sized head. Cascade hop in nose, whose orange notes blend nicely with smoothly roasted chocolate and related aromas. Very nice. Flavor was much less intense, similar to the been we have had just before. Generally on the sweeter side with hop bitterness being less dominant as it could be thought. Licorice showed up and some yogurt/milk, too. Medium bodied with long, smooth chocolate and cappuccino finish. Truly stouty. Not bad at all, although I would like a heavier body.

Bottle. Shiny black, a bit murky, with a nice, low, fine head. Nose of cocoa, light licorice, berries. A bit medicinal tasting, with cocoa and cardboard. Think body, though nice enough carbonation. Ok.
