Pours lightly hazy medium golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with amazing retention, that reduces to a large cap that lasts the whole glass. Thick foamy lacing clings down the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Insane appearance. Aromas of big lemon, orange, peach, pear, apricot, red apple, white grape, coriander, peppercorn, clove, light banana, candi sugar, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, spices, earthy hops, candi sugar, and moderate pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big lemon, orange, peach, pear, apricot, red apple, white grape, coriander, peppercorn, clove, light banana, candi sugar, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Good amount of peppery yeast spiciness and light herbal/grassy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of lemon, orange, peach, pear, apricot, red apple, white grape, coriander, peppercorn, clove, light banana, candi sugar, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Amazing complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, spices, earthy hops, candi sugar, and moderate pale malt flavors; with an awesome malt/spiciness balance, and zero astringent flavors after the finish. Moderate increasing dryness from yeast spiciness and carbonation. Very high carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp, and creamy/bready/grainy/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is fantastic. Mildly increasing warmth of 11% after the finish. Overall this is an amazing tripel! All around incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, spices, earthy hops, candi sugar, and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and dangerously easy to sip on for the big ABV. Amazing classic tasting yeast complexity with balanced pale malts/sugar. Very well attenuated, never sweet or heavy feeling for the ABV. A highly amazing offering, and spot on style example. One of the best Tripels I have ever had; definitely lived up to my expectations. Just as impressive as Westmalle and Karmeliet; but La Fin Du Monde is still the top favorite.

Sample at La Trappe Cafe. Clear golden color with a thick frothy off-white head that diminishes gradually. Small sheets of lacing on the glass. Fruit, yeast and malt aroma. Full-bodied with flavors of banana, caramel malt and earthy yeast. The finish is sweet and fruity with a Belgian yeast aftertaste. Good beer all around.
